How to use these materials
These topics, such as sports, knitting, and even Minecraft, are to help both students and teachers find ways to enjoy learning Writing Task One. The real test, of course, will have less interesting topics – but you can absolutely gain skills in grammar, organzation and vocabulary writing about topics you enjoy!
I have designed these to practice. Practice using verb + adverb combinations on line graphs like increased gradually or dropped substantially. Practice writing an overview thesis statement in the introduction, a sentence starting with, perhaps, “Overall it can be seen that…”
Practice resisting the temptation to write a conclusion (do NOT write one!).
I hope you enjoy this unique content as I have enjoyed the creative process in making these tasks.
Good luck and have fun!
